Campsite Welcome Guide, Site Rules & Cancellation Policy

We look forward to welcoming you to Dufftown Campsite soon!
The following information will help you make the most of your stay.

We aim to ensure that the campsite is a quiet, safe and relaxing space for everyone.
As such, please read this welcome guide and the rules of the campsite before you arrive.

Reception opening hours

9.00am – 3.00pm Monday – Friday
9.30am -12 midday Saturday and Sunday
We are happy to help with anything, so please feel free to drop by.

Campsite Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in is at 1pm and check-out at 11am. Latest arrival time is 9pm.

Campsite speed limit

There is a speed limit on the campsite of 5mph.

Parking on pitches

To ensure plenty of space for everyone, one vehicle can be parked per pitch. Commercial vehicles are not permitted unless it is the campers’ only vehicle.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours are from 11.00pm to 8.00am.

We ask that all music devices are switched off by 10.30pm and absolute quiet is from 12 midnight.

Please respect fellow guests and keep noise to an absolute minimum. Sounds and voices carry at night and we ask you to keep in mind that these can be disturbing to those wishing to sleep.

Children

Children (under 12s) are expected to be supervised at all times, and parents / guardians expected to ensure that no damage is caused to the park by their children. Any damage will be charged to the party.

Our trees, bushes and fences are precious and take a long time to regrow and fix, so please ensure that children know not to climb on, break or damage them.

Dogs

We welcome dogs to the campsite. Please always keep them on a lead on the park, pick up after your dog and dispose in the general waste bin (the green one).

Games

Please use open space away from campers for playing games. Ball games, frisbees etc are to be kept away from caravans, motorhomes and vehicles.

Etiquette

We expect that our guests act in a courteous, considerate manner towards us, our staff and other guests. The use of bad language, unruly behavioral and loud music or televisions are not accepted.

Heated exchanges between guests on the park are also not accepted. In the unlikely event an incident should occur, we will ask both parties to leave the campsite and under such circumstances, we will be discharged of all liability and no refunds will be issued.

Alcohol

Whilst alcohol is permitted, it may be consumed only on your pitch. Please do not walk around with open cans, bottles and glasses etc. Anyone acting in an unruly or aggressive manner will be asked to leave the campsite.

Leave no trace

Please leave your pitch as you found it. Recycling bins are provided for your convenience. Please don’t put hot coals into the recycling bins.

Fires and flames

Campfires, pit-fires, chimeras and wood burning stoves are not accepted due to fire safety. Please put barbecues or cooking/heating appliances outside and not inside tents and awnings, nor leave unattended candles or tea lights inside your awning or tent.

Power

Power is 12amps. Green switch to be on.

Plug in, then turn grey control (clockwise) to number 1. To remove, turn (anti-clockwise) to zero, then pull out the plug. Your plug will not release until control is back to zero. Please do not force.

Toilet block

Please keep the toilets tidy and do not flush anything else apart from toilet tissue.

Children playing in or around the toilet blocks is not permitted, and children (under 12) should be always accompanied while in communal indoor areas.

We have a disabled toilet/shower room and a family bathroom for your convenience. A deposit of £10 is required for the keys, which is returned when the key is returned.

Laundry

There are laundry facilities on-site available to all guests. The washing machine and drier are coin operated.

Prices are £4.00 per wash and £1.00 per 15mins for the drier. Please remember to take your own washing tablets / detergent as this is not provided.

Pot wash area

The pot cleaning facilities are located beside the family room to the right of the toilet block.

Recycling bins

Recycling bins can be found at the campsite entrance.

Emergencies

For emergencies overnight please contact the Emergency Services on 999.

For non-emergency health and dental support, NHS 24 can be contacted on 111 for advice day or night.

For out of hours less serious issues please call 01340 820072.

Insurance

Please ensure that your caravan / vehicle and accessories are adequately insured. The park owner will not accept responsibility for any damage, loss, expense or injury suffered to belongings or persons, however caused, whilst on the park.

Leaving the campsite – please give way to traffic

When leaving the campsite please give way to traffic travelling up the single-track road, and use the passing places provided.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation by Dufftown Campsite

We reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel your booking. In the unlikely event this should occur, we will refund 100% of the monies you have paid or alternatively, subject to availability, offer you another option of a comparable standard.

Upon making a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable followed by a confirmation email.

The full cost of the reservation is payable 56 days before the start of the reservation.

Should the reservation start within 56 days of initial booking, the full price is payable when booking.

Cancellation by you

If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us by email or telephone. The date of cancellation is the date we receive your email or call. We can only accept cancellation from the person who booked, unless you can provide appropriate evidence to support good reason of why they are unable to cancel the booking.

If after paying your deposit and before paying the balance you decide to cancel your reservation, the deposit is non-refundable. Should you have to cancel your reservation after making full payment, normally the following will apply:

We recommend ensuring your holiday insurance covers you for bookings you may have to cancel.

During the winter we will do our best to keep the approach roads open to all properties, however we cannot be held responsible if snowfalls are heavy and it is not possible to gain access.

We reserve the right to make a charge for cleaning at a rate of £20.00 per hour if your pitch is left in a dirty state.

Your agreement to these conditions is assumed when you make full payment or a deposit for your reservation.
